Florence Ann Ferris

Florence “Ann” Ferris passed away peacefully in her home while in the loving presence of her family, on June 14th; she was 76 years old.  Ann was born in Highland Township on August 10th, 1939 to Charles and Ruth Gibson.  She married the love of her life, Jerry Ferris, in 1960 and shared 56 years with him.  She enjoyed going out to eat, driving through Amish country, and taking care of her family.

Ann is predeceased by her parents, her son, Jeffrey Ferris, and her two sisters, Bernice Hutchison and Ruby Jean Bachman.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Ferris, her daughter, Jody Clark, daughter, Stacy (Clay) Ross, and her son, Bryce (Traci) Ferris, as well as five grandsons, four granddaughters, three great-grandsons, and three great-granddaughters.

The family will hold a private family gathering on Sunday, June 19th at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Sunday, June 19th.  It will be by invitation only.  A Gathering will take place at 2PM; with services starting at 3PM.  Pastor Keith Taylor will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Highland Township.  In lieu of flowers friends are asked to make donations to the Hospice of Genesis, 713 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701
