Evelyn G. Lyall

January 11, 1935 — December 30, 2020

Zanesville

In loving memory of Evelyn Genevieve Lyall, 85, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020, at Genesis Hospital while surrounded by her loved ones.

Evelyn was born in Zanesville on January 11, 1935. She is the daughter of the late Charles Adams and Bessie (White) Adams-Gassis. Evelyn was well known for delivering advertisers for 23 years to the Zanesville Area.

Evelyn was the light of any event, full of happiness and love. She greeted everyone with a smile and was overly gracious and generous to all whose lives she touched. She would help anyone in need that she was able to. She was strong, wise and a fighter like no other, even to the very end. She was an amazing mother and a friend to all. She and her husband built their home with their bare hands where she spent her entire life content, happy and assembling each and every happy memory one after another. She loved and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds outside her window every day. Her favorite color was purple, she loved to see it everywhere. She enjoyed listening to music: Elvis Presley was above all her very favorite.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Michael Lyall of Florida and Steven Lyall of Lancaster (whom was in a car accident and passed the same day after his mother's passing); her daughter, Brenda (Lyall) Cannon of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Lyall) Hammers, Stacy (Lyall) Holskey, Amy (Cannon) Kopchak, Amanda Cannon and Tabby Willett; her great grandchildren, Slade Suttles, Butchie Holskey, Hayley Holskey, Katie Holskey and Parker Kopchak; her sister, Mae (Katie) Vansickle of Adamsville; and her longtime friend and caregiver Brent Ellis.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by husband, Earl Lyall, who passed away on August 14, 2015; her son, William “Bill” Lyall; her sisters, Juanita Thomson, Bonita Snyder, Carolyn Fenton, and Janice Bouge; her brother, Charles Adams of Arizona.

Visitations will be January 4, 2021 from 11 to 1 pm at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will follow visitations at 1 pm. She will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
