Erma C. Cox, 85 of Duncan Falls, passed away at 4:10 pm, Monday, October 6, 2014 at Genesis, Good Samaritan Medical Center. Erma was born June 5th 1929 in Muskingum County, the daughter of the late Virgil and Clarice (Barnhouse) Miller. She was well known in the area as a seamstress, she was a 1947 graduate from Meigs High School and she graduated from The Meredith Business College, she was a member of the Ark Angles, The Philo / Duncan Falls Homemakers Club and over a 50 year member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church where she served on the Willing Workers committee. Erma is survived by her son Clinton Cox of Philo and her daughter Linda (Terry) Talbert of Philo; her four grandchildren Angela Carder (Gary James), Amber (Nick) Jarrett, Chandra (Jarod) Miracle and Crystal (Brian) Bates; her 7 great-grandchildren Wyatt Carder, Kassadee, Mollee and Nattalee Jarrett, Aubrey and Lexi Miracle and Owen Bates; her brother Don (Betty) Miller of Zanesville and a sister-in-law Virginia Miller of Rokeby Lock. In addition to her parents, Erma is preceded in death by her husband Clinton "Bud" Cox who passed away September 30, 1998 and her grandson Chad Cox and her brother Karl Miller. Visitations will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday with Pastor Karen Osborn officiating. Erma will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
