Ella Florence McPeak, 87 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Shriver’s Hospice.
Ella was born in Morgan County on July 20, 1934. She is the daughter of the late Wilson and Kathryn (Robinson) Thompson. She worked for several years at both Brockway and Essex Wire and as a young lady she attended the Malta United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden but most especially she loved spending time with her family.
Ella is survived by her two children, Eric (Heidi) McPeak and Patricia Butcher; her nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren; her brothers, James (Janet) Thompson and Charles Thompson and sister, Joan Moore.
In addition to her parents, Ella is preceded in death by her husband, Frank McPeak who passed away August 26, 2018; her son-in-law, Gary Butcher; her grandson, Shawn McPeak; her great-grandsons, Fredrick and Franklin Butcher; her brothers, Edwin, Larry and Floyd Thompson and sisters, Pauline Toth, Helen Haley, Janet Clawson, Mabel Thompson, Martha Clawson and Dorotha Stimer.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Pastor Joe McFee will officiate the services. She will be laid to rest in the Baptist Cemetery in Penn Township.
