Elizabeth Ann Davis

Elizabeth Ann Bethel Davis, 84 of Chandlersville, passed away on March 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family, while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Elizabeth Ann was born in Zanesville, Ohio, July 30, 1939.  She was the daughter of Kinzel and Mary Drake Bethel.  She was a graduate of Cumberland-Spencer High School, Class of 1957.  She retired after 32 years as a secretary at Muskingum Livestock Sales.

She was lifetime member of Ark Spring Baptist Church where she was a deaconess, trustee, church treasurer and pianist for many years.  She also served as the secretary-treasurer of Ark Spring Cemetery Association and the organizer of “Meigs Day” for many years.  Elizabeth Ann loved her roots in Meigs Township.

Elizabeth Ann is survived by one son, David (Kissy) Davis of Pataskala and one grandson Connor Davis. Brother’s-in-laws Lee Davis, Richard Davis, one Sister-in-law Phyliss Wiseman and number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth Ann was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her in-laws Arthur and Neva Davis, brother’s in-law Gary D. Davis, John Wiseman, sisters-in-law Ruth Bruner Davis, Virginia Paisley Davis, and Wanda Davis.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Elizabeth Ann’s name to Ark Spring Cemetery Association, 13100 Rural Dale Road, Chandlersville, Ohio 43727.

The family would like to thank Elizabeth Ann’s special caregivers, Vondalyn Strauss, Dana Bates, Carol Prouty, Kristina Davis, the caregivers from Genesis Hospice, as well as many others, for their care towards Elizabeth Ann.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Elizabeth Ann on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with service to follow at 1 p.m. at the Ark Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Adam West officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Ark Spring Cemetery.
