Eleanor Mae (Brock) Culbertson, 95 of Cambridge, went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2022, at Cambridge Place and under the care of Shrivers Hospice.
Eleanor was born on February 6, 1927 at home in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late Clarence and Belva (Reed) Brock. Eleanor was a loving mother to her five children. She attended the Sonora United Methodist Church for over 60 years, and she served the church as the custodian for over 25 years. Eleanor also dedicated her time to the Colburn United Methodist Church in Zanesville where she was currently a member.
Eleanor is survived by her four children; Janet Bradford, Carol Morris, Kevin (Amy) Culbertson, Keith Culbertson; her grandchildren, Julie (Roland) Smith, Karen (Ben) Westover, Brian (Missy) Burris, Angela (Mike) Sherry, Annette (Pat Flickinger) Russell, K.C. (Jessi) Morris, Renee (Jason) Cinquepalmi, Justin (Mandy) Culbertson, Jared (Bethany) Culbertson and Tami (Brent) Dupuy; her twenty-five great-grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; her brother, Duane (Patty) Brock; her sister-in-law, Mary Alice Brock; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Ray” Culbertson, who passed away February 8, 1992; her daughter and son in law, Linda and Harold “Gene” Burris; her son-in-law, Charles “Larry” Bradford; and her brothers, Clarence Brock Jr., Fred Brock, Delbert Brock, and Gerald Brock.
In honor of Eleanor, memorial contributions can be made to Shrivers Hospice, 601 Underwood Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 or to the charity of one's choice.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cambridge Place and Shriver’s Hospice for their compassion and care.
Private services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the St. Paul Cemetery.
