E. Ruth Wymer

E. Ruth Wymer, 91 of New Concord, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2021 at Continuing Healthcare at Willow Haven in Zanesville.

Ruth was born on December 23, 1929 in Salem, WV.  She is the daughter of the late Charles A. and Rachel Ann (Davis) Dowler.  She was a loving wife and mother.  She was a member of the New Concord United Methodist Church, and a member of Friendship VII chapter of Sweet Adelines since 1972.

Ruth is survived by her two children, Cathie Lynn Allen and Michael J. (Jane) Wymer; her several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Leland E. Wymer, who passed away June 3, 2009; and her sisters, Elline Benefield, Jonnie E. Opal, and Clarice Anderson.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord where funeral services will be held at 1 pm.  Pastor Lisa Kropinak will officiate the service.  She will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Concord.
