E. "Sue" DuVall

E. “Sue” DuVall, 81 of Gaysport, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Sue was born on July 2, 1944, in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late Wayne and Virda (Cain) Daw. Sue was a proud graduate of Philo High School. She was employed for several years at Dayton Precision in Hebron and also worked at Campbell’s Grocery Store in Duncan Falls, where she was known for her kindness and the care she showed to every customer. She was a member of Gaysport Methodist Church. Sue found joy in her dogs and cats, reading, and her church family. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her beloved family.

Sue is survived by her children, Lisa (Jeff) Emery and Brent (Jennifer) DuVall of Newark, her four grandchildren, Monica (Kenny) Gray, Ashley (Suzie Moore) Willey, David Willey, and Rachel DuVall; her three great-granddaughters, Kaelyn, Logan, and Emersyn; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David A. DuVall, whom she married on September 14, 1963, and who passed away on July 10, 2021; her siblings, Ronald (Joy) Daw and Barbara (Jim) Huffman; and her nephew and niece, Keith Daw and Genieva Powell.

A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Gaysport Methodist Church, 9041 South River Road, Blue Rock, OH 43720. Pastor and loving dear friend Lisa Jenkins will officiate the service.
