Douglas "Mike" Miller

Douglas “Mike” Miller, 73 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully in his loving wife’s arms at his home on Thursday, February, 13, 2025.

Mike was born on April 18, 1951, in Westerville, Ohio. He is the son of the late Victor L. and Betty J. (Parsons) Miller. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army and Marines. He retired from UPS  where he worked as a truck driver. Mike loved traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with his wife. He also loved sharing trucking stories with his father-in-law, as well as going to the casino, and joking around with his best pal, Jamie Jackson. He cherished every moment that he could with his wife, who was his entire world.

In the last few days of Mike’s life, he enjoyed spending time with his special niece, Grace-lynn Bolen, and his mother-in-law that he was very close to and called her “mom”. He also cherished his father-in-law and brother-in-law and Cassandra Prater.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of nine years, Crystal (Castle) Miller, whom he married on May 10, 2016; his children, Bryden Castle and Issaih Castle, as well as his special nephew who he considered his son, Adam Hall; his siblings, Rose Corwin, Tammy Walker, Chuck Miller, and Richard Miller; his parents-in-law, Ann and Tim Jacobs; his brother-in-law, Randall (Cassandra Prater) Bolen; a special friend of twenty-two years, Mike Pritchard; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his daughters, Sophia Moore and Angel Castle; his father-in-law, Dennis Castle; as well as his siblings, Candy Miller, Vicki Dennis, John Miller, and Jim Miller.

In keeping with his wishes, a caring cremation will take place. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Miller family.
