Dorothy M. Shook

Dorothy M. Shook, 85 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2018 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.

Dorothy was born on May 14, 1933.  She is the daughter of the late Curt and Mildred White.  She worked for Adams Lane Care Center for 13 years, and she was an avid bowler.  She loved horseback riding and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren, Tiffany Confer, Tasha (Kevin) Shook-McQuaide, Tyson (Katelyn) Shook and Trey (Stacy) Shook; her great-grandchildren, paige, Caglea, Cabryanna, Gracie, Triton, Croston and Nixon and her daughter-in-law, Jean Shook of Blue Rock.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Shook; her two sons, Steve Shook and Rodney Shook; and her six brothers.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
