New Concord
Dorothy “Dot” Morgan passed away suddenly on the morning of Thursday, December 10th, she was 84 years old. She was born in Zanesville on March 3rd, 1931 to Lester and Mildred Leasure. She worked for the Shenendoah Truck Stop, and attended Norwich Presbyterian Church.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Jack Leasure, her sister, Marjorie Stevens, her grandsons, Bobby and Bill Morgan, and her husband, Charles William Morgan, Sr. She is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” (Carol) Morgan of Cambridge, and her daughter, Connie (Roger) McManaway of Claysville. She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Brad (Kelli) Morgan, Brock (Kerri) Morgan, Krista Morgan, Andrea Griffith, Troy McManaway, Missy Morgan, and Dawn (Jamie) Pollack; her step-grandchildren, Angie (Yom) Decker, Chuck Hooper, and Regina Chapman, as well as 20 great-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, 1 great- great grandchild, and 8 step great-great- grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Bonnie Bush, and her brother-in-law, Joe Stevens.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Sunday, December 13th from 5 to 8PM, and on Monday, December 14th from 10-11am, with services being held promptly at 11AM, which will be followed by a burial in Zanesville Memorial Park. Pastor Keith Taylor will be officiating.
