Donna Lou Fischer, 84, a 30 year resident of Morgan County and current a resident at Chimes Terrace in Johnstown, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on August 4, 2021 while under the care of National Church Residence Hospice.
Donna was born in Philo, Ohio on January 28, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Ralph and Viola (Sloan) Cowan. She worked as a case worker for Franklin County and also for Morgan County for many years, and she was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stovertown.
Donna is survived by her two daughters, Delores “Ginger” (Steve) Krupp and Rebecca (Danny Stein) Taylor; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her brother, Ronald Steinhour and her two sisters, Delores Cowan and Patricia (Donald) Bennett.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Fischer who past away November 19, 2017; her daughter, Cynthia Hicks; her two brothers, Elmer and James Cowan; and her sisters, Ella Knight, Leona Rogers, Audrey Perry, and Brenda Bell.

Visitations will be 11 to 12:30 Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stovertown, 6575 Center Road, Roseville, Ohio. Pastor Al Laese will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest in the Stovertown Lutheran Church Cemetery.
