Donald E. Truex

Donald E. Truex, 78 of Zanesville passed away peacefully on March 5, 2017 at The Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus.

Don was born in Frederickstown, OH on April 6, 1938.  He is the son of the late Clay and Grace A. (Ewens) Truex.  Don graduated from The University of Cincinnati, where he majored in Music and Seminary Studies.  He was very involved in musicals and church in Belleville, OH.  He was a faithful member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls.  He worked for 12 years as a Culligan Man in Zanesville, as a sales rep for HRA associates in Dayton, Ohio, for Lowes in Zanesville and for the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls.  He served his country in the US Army.

Don is survived by his wife Glenna M. Truex, whom he married Sept. 23, 1989; his children Trudy (Jeff) Hull of Savanah, GA and Tim (Cindy) Truex of Butler, OH, Scott (Linda) Highfield of Zanesville and Tim (Roz) Highfield of Ft. Atkinson, WI; his eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his five brothers and one sister.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 3 to 7 pm on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  Funeral Services will be held 11 am Saturday at Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, 4509 Salt Creek Drive, Duncan Falls, OH 43734 with Pastor Steve Harrop and Pastor Tim Alexander officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery will Full Military Honors provided by George Selsam Post #1058.
