Diane Lancaster

Diane Lancaster, 77, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 26, 1947, in Columbus, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Marjorie (Rainer) Stewart. After raising her family, Diane enjoyed a career in manufacturing, though her greatest joy was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

A proud member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Eagles, Diane carried herself with grace and always took pride in looking her best. She found joy in gardening, bowling, camping, playing cards, and caring for her home and family. She cherished her trips to the beach with her daughters and sister, treasured time spent hosting cookouts, and delighted in swimming with her grandchildren. A loyal Ohio State Buckeyes fan, she also looked forward to her yearly anniversary trips to Wheeling with her beloved husband.

Diane is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Jerry Lancaster, whom she married on September 15, 1967; her daughters, Tina King, Kimberly (Mitch) Warne, and Heather Lancaster; her sisters, Sharon (Dale) Dailey and Jeannie (Tom) Jahn; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, with one on the way; her cherished sisters-in-law and dear friends, Linda Lancaster and Patty Stewart; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Danny Kidd, George W. Stewart, and Charles Stewart; and by her beloved niece, Rachel Dian.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A prayer vigil, will follow the visitation.
