Delores "Lori" A. West

Delores “Lori” A. West, 70 of Cambridge, passed away on Thursday morning, December 14, 2023, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House with her family by her side.

Lori was born on March 2, 1953 in Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy (Saft) Fairchild. Lori worked as a bookkeeper, and she also owned and operated her own dog grooming business called Deloriann’s Dog Grooming in Cambridge. Lori held a special place in her heart for all animals. She was also very involved with her community, serving as a member of the VFW and Eagles. Above all, Lori was a wonderful, loving person, a doting wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by the ones she leaves behind.

Lori is survived by her loving husband of twenty-nine years, Craig West, whom she married on January 15, 1994; her children, Lori A. Dickens, Eddie Jirles (Grace Anne Kinch), and Amanda (Terry) Ruggles; her grandchildren, Brittany (Mike), Zack, Taylor, Eddie, Haley, and Brianne; her several great-grandchildren; her siblings, Donnie (Stevie) Fairchild, Debrah Kintner, Dave (Joyce) Fairchild, Dan (Tejuana) Fairchild, and Douglas Fairchild; her in-laws, Melinda (Bill) Landrum, Allen (Mona) West, and Doug (Rhonda) West; her several dogs; as well as a few nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Lori is preceded in death by her parents.

In keeping with Lori’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. A Celebration of Lori’s life will be announced at a later date. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the West family.
