Delmus Lane “Moose” Garber Sr., 80 of New Concord, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.
Lane was born on July 1, 1944, at home in Norwich. He is the son of the late Homer W. and Olive May (Snyder) Garber. Lane was the owner and operator of Lane Garber Trucking.
Lane is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Martha L. (Rice) Garber, whom he married on July 8, 1967; his daughter and son, Joanne (Kathy) Garber-Williams and Delmus (Vicki) L. Garber Jr.; his grandchildren, Denya, Denae, and Colt Garber; his siblings, Eloise Grey, Lester (Connie) Garber, Wayne Garber, Jean Beach, Randy (Penny) Garber, Danny Garber, Darryl Garber, and Gary Garber; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lane is preceded in death by his daughter, Annette L. Garber, who passed away on May 30, 2023; as well as his sister, Wanda Garber.
A graveside service will be held for Lane at 10 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery where Lane will be laid to rest. Pastor Brian Kittner will officiate the service.
