David R. Wilson

David R. Wilson, 49 of Zanesville passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 9, 2016 surrounded by his family.

David was born in Zanesville on July 7, 1967 the son of Robert and Zampa Wilson of Blue Rock.  He worked for 28 years as a carpenter and mason for Jay Baker Construction.  He was an avid hunter and outdoors man.  He had a love of hunting, fishing and the Bible.  He loved to travel and spend time with his family out at the farm.  He was a lifetime member of the Rural Dale United Methodist Church and he currently attended and served as a trustee at the Philo United Methodist Church.

David is survived by his wife Tara (Roberts) Wilson, whom he married April 20, 2002; his son Whitney (Vicki) Weiser of Nashport; his grandson Robert Thomas Weiser; His three sisters, Joyce (Wm. Craig “Buz”) Bruce and their son Jared, Audra (Marty) Mock and their two girls Grace and Delaney and Nancy (Brady) Randolph and their son and daughter Derek and Sara.  Also surviving are Trudy (Hank) Prejean and their two daughters Lisa and Sarah, Craig Roberts and his son Nathan Tracey, Maribeth (Michael) Snyder and their two sons Seth and Caleb and his mother in law JoAnn Roberts.

David is preceded in death by his father in law Tom Roberts.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday with Pastor Dee Rader officiating.  He will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
