David "Dave" N. Postlewaite Jr.

David "Dave" N. Postlewaite Jr., 68, of New Concord, passed away on August 27, 2024, at the Beckett House in New Concord.

Dave was born on May 29, 1956, to the late David N. Sr and Mary L. (Braatz) Postlewaite.  Dave proudly served his country in the United State Air Force.  He performed battery maintenance on the SR-71 Blackbird while stationed at Beale AFB, California, in addition to Tours of Duty in Okinawa, Japan.  Dave loved music as he played guitar and piano; he loved and accelerated in mathematics- particularly algebra, calculus, and trigonometry. He attended Kent State University for some time and worked throughout the country as a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, before retiring.

Dave is survived by his daughters, Alana (Eric) Elavsky, and Jackie (Josh) Bernier; his brother, Tim (Cindy)Postlewaite; his nephew, Tim Postlewaite; several other nieces and nephews; and his best friend throughout his life, Jeff Bowe of Canton.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Cynthia Hubbard; and 2 brothers, Chris and Keith.

In keeping with Dave's wishes, a caring cremation will take place.  The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Postlewaite Family.
