David Earl Kesterson, 70, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia.
David was born January 1, 1954, in Cambridge to the late David E. and Pauline G. (Borovich) Kesterson. David graduated from art school in Akron and dedicated many years as an artist for Kessler sign company in Zanesville before retiring. Art was his passion, and he especially enjoyed painting murals. David was an excellent handyman who could fix anything. He enjoyed riding his Harley and going on poker runs. In his younger years, he was an excellent athlete, playing football and wrestling. He also enjoyed vacationing to Outer Banks, South Carolina.
He is survived by his daughter Gretchen (Corey) Brumfield-Adkins; his grandchildren Blake and Miranda Brumfield; his sister Jenny (Jeannie Moran) Kesterson of Naples, Florida; the mother of his child Juile Willis; his special friend and riding buddy David Luallen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from the St. Clairsville area.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
A caring cremation will take place. A visitation will be held at Farus Funeral Home of New Concord from 2:00 pm to 4:00 on Saturday, July 13. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm officiated by Keith Taylor.
