David Jewett Gray, 72, of Cambridge, passed away surrounded by his family, December 11, 2013 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, Zanesville. David was born September 6, 1941, in Cambridge, the son of the late Jewett Fern and Jeanette (Campbell) Gray. David had many passions in life including spending time with his family and friends and taking care of his property. He and his wife were the previous owners of the Co-Op Printshop in New Concord for 35 years. David was a former member of the New Concord Board of Trade and a longtime member of the Elks Lodge #448 of Cambridge. David is survived by the love of his life and childhood sweetheart Paula (Crawford) Gray, whom he married in 1959; his children Dr. Jeffrey (Cynthia) Gray, Kelly (Jeff East) Gray, Melanie (Art) Kalemba, Dr. Dean (Kathleen) Gray; his grandchildren Linsay Kreuzer, Kiel Kreuzer, Allison Gray, Zachary Gray, Lillian Gray, Owen Gray and Alaina Gray; his brothers Robert (Debbie) Gray, Leonard (Shelly) Gray and his sisters Lenora (William) Douglas, Juanita (Eugene) Savage, Betty (William) Davis, Kathy (James) Gibson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in David's name to either the Genesis Hospice (Morrison House) 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville OH 43701 or to the Hospice of Guernsey County, 9711 E. Pike Rd. Cambridge, OH 43725. Visitation with the family will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord (The Former Mock-Miller Funeral Home) 63 W.
