David W. Dunkle

David W. Dunkle, 62 of Philo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
David was born September 24, 1954 in Zanesville. He is the son of the late Wayne and Florence Dunkle. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved music, he was a lead singer and bass player for his band ‘Back Run Country’ and he served his country in the US Marine Corps.
David is survived by his wife Betty Dunkle whom he married June 30, 1980; his three sons David R. Dunkle of Philo, Herbert Kronenbitter of McConnelsville and John Kennedy of Zanesville, his two daughters Misty Kennedy and Mindi Kennedy both of Zanesville; his two brothers Rick Dunkle of Crooksville and Brian Dunkle of Philo; his two sisters Kathleen (Sue) Pletcher of Zanesville and Barbara Sharkey of McConnelsville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Karen Paynter.
David is preceded in death by his son Billie Dunkle, his sister Linda Fouty and one brother Mark Dunkle.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday. He will be laid to rest in Irish Ridge Cemetery.
