Darla D. Nezbeth

Darla D. Nezbeth, 81 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at Genesis Hospital on Sunday, December 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Darla was born on January 7, 1944, in Alliance. She is the daughter of the late John J. and Irene J. (Bonzo) Doringo. She dedicated many years of service working in medical offices throughout the Zanesville area, including Dr. Kopf’s office, and later for several years with Dr. Katz’s office. Darla was Catholic by faith.

In her free time, Darla enjoyed baking and cooking, working on puzzles, and diamond painting. She loved listening to music by Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli. Above all else, Darla cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Darla is survived by her three sons, Jeff (Jackie) Nezbeth, Bill Nezbeth, and Erin (Shannon) Nezbeth; her grandchildren, Christian Nezbeth, Logan Nezbeth, Kenzie Nezbeth, Zakary Nezbeth, and Carlie Nezbeth; her sister, Denise Strawser; the father of her children, Joseph Nezbeth; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Darla is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Doringo; as well as her brother-in-law, Ralph Strawser.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Darla’s memory to Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services, which can be made by going to, PO BOX 157, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Visitations will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 19, 2025, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father David Young as celebrant. Darla will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Church Cemetery in Nashport.
