Dale Clapper, 84, of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.
Born on July 10, 1940, in Zanesville, Dale was the son of Wilbur F. and Glenna M. (Rammage) Clapper. He dedicated his career to plumbing, retiring after many years of service with Plumbers Union #495 in Cambridge, Ohio. Dale was a longtime member of Ark Spring Baptist Church and later attended Duncan Falls Baptist Church. He was also a proud member of the American Legion Post 246 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1961.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Beverly E. (Long) Clapper; his two children, Roy Dale Clapper and Judy Ann Clapper; and his four sisters, Norma (Jerry) Coyle, Edna (Larry) Huston, Rose (James) Harding, and Jane (Ronald) Ayers. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Doris M. Swope.
Visitation will take place 11AM to 1PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls. Funeral services will follow visitations at 1 pm, officiated by Pastor Gerry Wade. Dale will be laid to rest in Ark Spring Cemetery in Chandlersville, Ohio, with full military honors provided by the George Selsam VFW Post 1058.
