Dakota Anthony Mccormick

Dakota Anthony McCormick, 27 of Philo, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room.

Dakota was born August 12, 1996 in Zanesville, Ohio.  He is the son of Cindy S. and (Jamie Matthews) McCormick and David and (Ashley) McCormick.  He previously attended Cornerstone Church and Rhema House of Worship.  He was an avid musician and he enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, fishing and spending time outdoors; but most especially he loved spending time with his daughters, niece and his nephew.

Dakota is survived by his parents, and his four daughters, Delilah, Stella, Nova, and Everleigh; three brothers, Dalton (Kendra) McCormick, Mason McCormick and Garrett McCormick; his paternal grandparents, Danny (Margie Perine) McCormick and Jay Harvey; his paternal great grandmother, Carol Blue; his maternal grandparents, Emmett and Bib Frazier; the mothers of his children, Kaleene Jett and Catelynn Taylor; niece Gabby McCormick; nephew, Dalton Jr. McCormick; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Dakota is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carol Harvey; his paternal great grandfather, Jerry LaMay; his maternal great grandparents, Forrest and Clarice Hartman and Leonard and Fern Frazier and his dog, Shylow.

Dakota gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Tom Barton officiating.  Dakota will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
