Crystal E. Tracey

Crystal E. Tracey, 60 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Crystal was born on September 25, 1963 in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late William M. and Edna D. (Dunkle) McCormick. Crystal worked for Exxon for a couple of years on Underwood Street in Zanesville. Her family was her entire world, she always made sure they were fed, and she loved to crochet for them. Crystal was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, her Christmas tree was always cowboy themed. She adored her six grandsons, as well as her two great grandsons. She also enjoyed doing crafts, painting, baking, tending to her garden, and fishing.

Crystal is survived by her lifetime partner, Jeff Schneider; her two children, James Tracey (Megan and Ben Kullman) and Kala (Mike) Seaton; her step-children, Andrea Schneider, Andrew Schneider, and Andrew Schneider; her six grandsons, Colton Sims, James (Kena Taylor) Anthony, Marcus Tracey, Haizen Grannon, Dom Tracey, Bentley Seaton; her two great-grandsons, Ashton Tracey and King Tracey; her siblings, Patty Hamilton and William (Crystal) McCormick; her special nephews and nieces, Drew Hamilton, Stevie Hamilton, Chad Hamilton, Lora Hamilton, Jessica (Ben) Smith, EJ McCormick Jr., and Marty McCormick Jr.; as well as many cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Crystal is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Tracey, who passed away on May 6, 2019; her son, Joseph “Joey” A. Tracey, who passed away on June 16, 2019; her niece, Stephanie Hamilton; her brother, Marty McCormick Sr.; her brother-in-law, Steve Hamilton; as well as her fluffy friends, Garth, Rocky, and Smokey.

In keeping with Crystal’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Tracey family.
