Connie J. Roberts

Connie Jo Roberts, 83 of New Concord, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Genesis Hospital.

Connie was born on December 19, 1941 in Cambridge, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late John “Chester” Morrow and Audrey “June” (Alexander) Morrow. Connie dedicated her life working as a hairdresser, as well as a Proctor for Muskingum University. She enjoyed watching all the activities her grandchildren were involved in, making sure to get many pictures of them. Connie was an avid sports fan loving her Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals, and the John Glenn Muskies. She was very strong in her faith.

Connie is survived by her children, Kelly (Jack King) Nelson, Brett (Missy) Nelson, Kathie (Bob) Baier, Bart (Shirley) Nelson, Kristy (Mike) Dodson and Kevin (Shelley) Roberts and Chris (Sherry) Roberts; her grandchildren, Austin Nelson and Wyatt Nelson, Rob (Tawnya) Baier, Stacey (Jeremiah) Dodd, Jessica (Daniel) Spiker, Seth (Allison) Dodson, Heath (Johanna) Dodson, Kylie Roberts, Erica Roberts, Kylie Roberts, and Peyton Roberts; and 18 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Larry Showman; as well as her niece Shelly (Chris) Welsh, and nephew Dale (Heather) Showman.

In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Max Roberts, whom she married on February 7, 1980, and who passed away on February 6, 2009; sister, Betty Lou Showman as well as two infant grandsons, Dustin Baier and Justin Baier.

Visitation for Connie will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Farus Funeral Home of New Concord. A funeral service will take place at 1 PM following the visitation. Pastor Eddie Warne will officiate the service. Connie will be laid to rest in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
