Clyde Granville Peairs

Clyde Granville Peairs, 82, of McDonald Road, Chandlersville, passed away at 1:10 am Friday December 7, 2012 at his residence and under the care of Genesis Hospice. Clyde was born December 9, 1929 in Zanesville the son of the late Herbert R. and Onnetta (Linn) Peairs. He worked as a certified high pressure welder for Kaiser Aluminum; he was a member of the Irville Masonic Lodge, Dual member of Gage and Gavel Lodge of Chandlersville and Olive Branch Chapter 251 OES. He served his country in the US Army as a paratrooper during the Korean War. Clyde and Dorothy spent many years raising and showing and hunting Black & Tan Coon Hounds throughout the United States and Canada. Clyde is survived by his wife Deborah Peairs whom he married March 8, 2011; his daughter Ruby (Floyd) McKenzie of Clearwater, FL, his several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many loving cousins and his three little pals Parker, Dexter & Isabella. In addition to his parents, Clyde is preceded in death by his 1st wife Dorothy H. Peairs who passed away May 5, 1999, a daughter Shirley (Tom) Prowse and a brother William E. Peairs. Masonic services will be 5:45 pm Sunday. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 10 am Monday with Frank Clifton officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his first wife in Memorial Park cemetery with full military honors provided by George Selsam VFW Post #1058.
