Cheryl "Cherie" A. Murrey

Cheryl “Cherie” A. Murrey, 64 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at Genesis Hospital on June 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Cherie was born on August 18, 1960, in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late William and Gwendolyn (Watkins) Mohler. Cherie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always ensured her family was taken care of.  She previously worked as a makeup consultant for Walgreen’s and she enjoyed crafting.

Cherie is survived by her son, Ryan Murrey; her grandchildren, Braelynn Murrey, Kira, Kaelyn, and Kaci Mohler; her daughter-in-law, Tiffany Mohler; her sisters, Susan (Larry) Hoover and Melissa (Ron) Dobbins; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Cherie is preceded in death by her husband, David Murrey, who passed away on August 2, 2021; as well as her son, Shane Mohler, who passed away on October 29, 2017; as well as her brothers, Richard Mohler, Randy Mohler, Rebecca Brown, William Mohler.

Visitations for Cherie will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM following visitations at the funeral home. Pastor Jamie Harrop will officiate the service. Cherie will be laid to rest in St. Pauls’ Cemetery.
