Charles Thomas

Charles “Charlie” R. Thomas, 82, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 in his home peacefully in his sleep. He leaves his friends and family of caregivers at the Cambridge Developmental Center.
He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on February 10, 1935. He was raised by his grandmother until she fell ill. He then moved to Orient State Institute in June 1947. He lived there until he moved to Gallipolis Developmental Center in July 1953. He lived there until he moved to Cambridge Developmental Center which he has called home for the past 37 years. Charlie loved to sing and play his guitar. He was loved by all and will never be forgotten.
Friends may attend calling hours for Charles at the Farus Funeral Home of new Concord on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10AM. Services will start at 11AM, and burial will conclude at Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge.
