Charles Bill Huston

Charles W. “Bill” Huston, 82, formerly of Zanesville, passed away at his daughter’s home in Warsaw, Ohio, on September 11, 2015.

Bill was born in Hiramsburg on April 1, 1933, the son of the late John and Hazel (Gillespie) Huston.  Bill previously worked for Ritterberger Bros, Gibson Meat Packing, Olde Village Meats and he retired from Sunrise IGA where he worked for several years and after retirement he enjoyed being a greeter at Walmart.  He was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by his wife Dianne (Ayers) Huston whom he married on February 28, 1970; his two sons Robert “Bob” Huston of Cumberland and Scott “Tater” Huston of Rix Mills; a son-in-law Art Barnhouse of Blue Rock; his daughters Susan (David) Reed of Chandlersville, Michelle (Paul) Underwood of Warsaw and Rita (Bennie Hash) Huston of Frazeysburg; 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; his siblings Larry (Edna) Huston of Chandlersville and JoAnn Matheney of New Concord; several nieces and nephews; a special friend Jessica Prophet and his dog Jack.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his first wife Donna (Dennis) Huston who passed away 1967; his two sons Ronnie Huston and Rusty Huston and a daughter Kay Barnhouse.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Bill’s name to the Huston Fund, c/o Citizens National Bank, PO Box 423, Duncan Falls, OH 43734.

Visitations will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 3 to 7 pm at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  Funeral services will be held 11 am, Monday, September 14, 2015 Westwood Baptist Church, 2395 East Pike, Zanesville, with Pastor Mark Ballmer officiating.  He will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery, near Claysville.
