Charles Michael Harris

Charles M. Harris, 55, of Malta passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 13, 2020.

Charles was born in Beverly, Ohio on December 6, 1964.  He is the son of John Harris of Malta and the late Juanita (Farnsworth) Heddleson.

He retired after 33 years working on oil rigs and in the oil fields.  He worked as a Rig Hand and Driller for many companies.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping but most especially he loved spending time with his friends, family and his special grandson.

In addition to his father, Charles is survived by the love of his life, Marjorie L. (Sherrard) Harris; his children, Erika (David) Caley, Nina (Travis) Lanning, William Alpha (Heather) Johnston Jr., Stacey (Shon) Winegardner, Jennifer (Marlei) Matthew,  Megan Harris; his 18 grandchildren, Gabriella, Heather, Brandon, Raylin, Jaimie, Seth, Isaac, Aiden, Emma, Chelsey, Marra, Preston, Shonlynn, Chase, Brooklyn, Isaiah, Joshua, and Ella; 9 great-grandchildren; his brothers, James (Diana) Harris, Bill (Rhonda) Harris, Tony (Don) Harris and a nephew, James “Casey” Harris of the home.

In addition to his mother, Charles is preceded in death by his brother, Dustin Harris.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Farus Funeral Home of Cumberland, 343 West Main Street, Cumberland.  Funeral Services will be 1 pm on Saturday.  Pastor Dave Glass will officiate the service.  He will be laid to rest in the Cumberland Cemetery.
