Catherine Ann Palmer Swingle

Catherine Ann Palmer Swingle, 81, of Blue Rock, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family at 9:10 pm April 11, 2013. Catherine was born Dec. 22, 1931 in New Matamoras, Ohio the daughter of the late Wilbur and Estle (Busche) Palmer. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Woodlawn Avenue Church of Christ. Catherine is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Swingle whom she married Jan 11, 1952; her children Elaine (Joe) Henthorne, Alan Swingle, Dale (Kristi) Swingle, Linda (Mike) Smith, Diane Swingle, Donna (Paul) Hansel, Teresa Swingle and Sherry (Bill) Sands; her grandchildren Jeremy Smith, Joel Smith, Andrea Searls, Jessica Carse, Amanda Campbell, Jared Smith, Ryan Hansel, Alisha Keck, Nicholas Hansel, Douglas Sands, Melissa Sands, Matthew Sands, Kyle Henthorne, Katie Sands; her great- grandchildren Rhylee Searls, Cade Searls, Sara Searls, Gracie Campbell, Lillian Campbell, Caden Keck, Coleson Keck, Chloe Hittle and Nora Carse; her two brothers Delbert (Gladys) Palmer and Charles (Betty) Palmer and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Lou Swingle; her sisters Marilyn Stockdale, Madlyn Fletcher, Daisy Palmer and Carol Palmer. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11am Monday with Evangelist Rod Stockdale officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Genesis Home Hospice for the care and compassion they have shown the Swingle family.
