Carolyn M. Wicker

Carolyn M. Wicker, 81, of Zanesville, passed away after a brief illness on November 15, 2017 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
Carolyn was born on November 9, 1936 in Norris City, IL. She is the daughter of the late John Robert and Mary Edna Smith. She previously worked for Fabricated Packaging Materials in Lancaster and for Packaging Concepts in Zanesville. She was an avid quilter and loved to read and draw.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Wicker, whom she married June 26, 1955; her children Betty (Kevin Elder) Colbert of Pleasantville, OH, Nancy (David Harry) Wicker of Hillsboro and James (Marcie Updegrave) Wicker of McConnelsville; her grandchildren, Stephanie Meyer, Angela Taylor, Kyle Wicker, Kasey Wicker, Cody Wicker, Katherine Wicker, and Cari Wicker; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and her brother Donald C. (Shirley) Smith of Norris City.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her son Darrel Ray Wicker who passed away in 1990.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held 2 pm on Monday with Scott Carpenter officiating. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville.
