Carolyn Sue Thompson

Carolyn S. Thompson, 67 of Philo, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021, while at Genesis Hospital.

Carrie was born in Zanesville on January 2, 1954. She is the daughter of the late Earl and Virginia (Swingle) Ferrell. Carolyn worked for many years as a nurse at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She previously attended the Duncan Falls Baptist Church.  She enjoyed spending time in her garden and taking care of her flowers, but most especially she loved spending as much time with her family as she could.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Larry R. Thompson, who she married on June 21, 1976; her son, Jason Thompson; her grandson, Bret Thompson; and her brothers, Edward Ferrell and Berl Ferrell.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her two sisters, Nancy Yoder and Diana Ferrell.

Visitations will be from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, and from 11 to 1 pm on Monday, November 29, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday. Pastor Jim Childers will officiate the service.
