Carol J. (MacLaine) Boyer, 72 of Zanesville passed away peacefully at 11:00 pm, Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Morrison House after a six year battle with cancer.
Carol was born in Alverda, Pennsylvania on April 16, 1943 to the late Philip S. and Minnie (Morley) MacLaine. She was a graduate of Philo High School and Merideth Business College. Carol enjoyed cooking, quilting, crafts, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her husband of 51 years, James B. Boyer; son, Brent (Tammy) Boyer of Lancaster, Kentucky; daughter, Betsy (John) Deeds, of Troy, Ohio; grandchildren, Noah and Abby Deeds; step-grandchildren, Layne Cumby and Brianna Peel; sisters, Nancy Farris of Zanesville, Lois Morris of Pickerington, and Vickie MacLaine of Zanesville; brother, Richard (Nancy) MacLaine of Duncan Falls; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her brothers, Philip S. MacLaine, Jr. and David M. MacLaine; brothers-in-law, John G. (Jack) Farris, William H. Morris; and great nephew, Andrew Cole.
Calling Hours will be held 11 to 1 pm on Saturday, September 5th, 2015 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, services will be held immediately following with Pastor Tim Patton officiating. She will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
