Carol Conrad Gibson

Carol Conrad Gibson, 77 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on December 13, 2024

Carol was born on January 23, 1947 in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late Albert and Bernice (Abbott) Shaw. Carol dedicated her life to ensuring her family was always taken care of. She found great joy in being surrounded by children and frequently babysat for her family and friends. She was a former member of the Cambridge Eagles #386, as well as a Falls Township Fire-maid. Carol really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Lisa Conrad, Theresa (Terry) Moore, and Sandy (Tommy Moore) Holmes; her grandchildren, Greg (Amber) Stiers, Nevaeh (Kade Daw) Holmes, Tiara (Creed) Milner, and Logan Moore; her great-grandchildren, Winston Stiers, Nova Stiers, Asher Daw, Carter Milner, and Hudson Milner. Also several nieces and nephews including her special niece Tammy Wright .

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband and father of her children, Lewis Conrad. Her 2nd husband Virgil W. “Gibby” Gibson, whom she married on March 10, 1995, and who passed away on August 7, 2021;  her siblings, Clara Lowman, William Shaw, Charles Shaw, Thomas Shaw, Lilian Moore, Dorothy Murphy, Leslie Williams, and Glenn Shaw.

Visitations for Carol will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Carol will be laid to rest at Williams Cemetery in Zanesville, where a private burial will be held at a later date.
