Carl D. Snyder

Carl D. Snyder, 65 of Norwich, went home to be with his wife on January 6, 2023.

Carl was born on October 15, 1957 in Zanesville, Ohio. He is the son of the late Ernest and Geneva (Garrett) Snyder. Carl worked as an equipment operator for Oxford Mining until his retirement in October 2022. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and enjoyed playing cards and golfing.

Carl is survived by his children, Dustin (Megan) Smart and Alicia (James) L. McGhee; his five grandsons, Kaiden Smart, James McGhee Jr., Karsen, Jahrell, Konner; his siblings, Charles (Ruth) Snyder of Cambridge, James (Marie) Snyder, Jerry Snyder, Wanda (Steve) Barrett.

In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Colleen S. Snyder, who he married on February 14, 1993; and a sister, Carol Watson.

In honor of Carl, donations may be made to the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord to help with his expenses, P.O. Box 275 New Concord, Ohio 43762.

A memorial service will be held will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Eagles Lodge #302, 1275 East Market Street, Zanesville, Ohio.
