Billy Cubbison

New Concord Billy K. Cubbison was called home on Saturday, May 10th at the Morrison House of Zanesville. He was born April 18th, 1932 to Paul and Wilma Cubbison in New Concord, Ohio. He was 82 years old. Billy was a dedicated and hard-working man; he was employed as a foreman at Central Ohio Coal for 37 years. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, watching Nascar, and racing Mini Wedges. His passion for the sport enthused his family, so that his great-grandchildren participate as well. He loved to run his Dozer, and worked on the Big Muskie. His real joy in life was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always interested in what they were doing. His family meant the world to him. Billy is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 62 years, Betty "Pat" Cubbison. He also leaves to hold dear his memory his children; including his son, Jeffrey Cubbison, and his wife, Barbara and his daughter, Kimberly Black, and her husband, Tim. He will be forever loved by his grandchildren Courtney (Kim), Cody (Katie), Casey (Kelly), and Cam (Sarah) Black, Lisa (Brian Van Fossen, and Kyla and Troy Jones; as well as his great-grandchildren, Dylan Owen, and Kylie Van Fossen, Lyla and Layla Jones, and Caiden, Karson, Kendel, Calen, Natalie, and Grady Black. Billy will be deeply missed by his siblings, Darrel (Carol) Cubbison, Loreita (Bob) Slack, and Fred (Cinda) Cubbison. The family would like to thank to staff of the Morrison House for their kindness and concern during their journey with Billy. They could not have asked for better care. Calling hours for Billy will be held at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, formerly the Mock-Miller Funeral Home), and will be held on Tuesday, May 13th from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM. Services for Billy will be held on Wednesday, May 14th at 11 AM. Friends and family may call one hour prior to service. Burial will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in New Concord.
