Beverly "Kay" Knicely

Beverly “Kay” Knicely, 74 of New Concord, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025 at Genesis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Kay was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on July 16, 1950.  She is the daughter of the late Vernon and Woneda (Higgs) Roth. Kay enjoyed crafting, especially when it came to beadwork and jewelry. She also loved to travel, cherishing the time she spent with her family in Myrtle Beach. Above all, Kay was a loving wife and mother, whose warmth and dedication touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Kay is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Knicely; her son, Darrin (Lisa) Knicely; her daughter, Jerra Shepard; her two grandchildren, Liam and Keegan; her sister, Carol (Galen) Lam; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by infant stillborn twins, John Jay and Michael Vernon, who passed away in 1971; her infant stillborn sister; as well as her special nephew, Mark Hannahs.

In keeping with her wishes, a caring cremation will take place, and no services will take place at this time.  The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is honored to care for the Knicely family.
