Beverly J. (Evans) Allen

Beverly Jean (Evans) Allen, 82 of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Genesis Hospital.

Beverly was born on June 22, 1942, in Washington, DC. She is the daughter of the late Louis C. and Olga E. (Plouzek) Evans. She worked for and eventually retired from Muskingum University as the Director of Human Resources.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 62 years, John A. Allen III, whom she married on August 31, 1963; her two sons, Randy (Jeannine) Allen and Jeff (Valerie) Allen; her four grandchildren, Becca, Emily, Louie, and Janie Allen; her siblings, Paul Evans and Carol DeVries; as well as many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the John and Annie Glenn Museum, which can be sent in the mail to 72 W. Main Street, New Concord, Ohio, 43762.

In keeping with Beverly’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 PM to 4:30 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 5650 Cambridge Road, New Concord, Ohio 43762, where Beverly will be laid to rest.
