Betty J. Scott formerly of Blue Rock, passed away at 10:55 am on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center. Betty was born in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Price Coleman. Betty and her husband owned the Gaysport Pure Oil Gasoline Station from 1962 to 1982 and attended Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls. She is survived by her daughter Peggy (Robert) Samson of Duncan Falls and her son Charles (Marilyn) Scott of Zanesville; four Grandchildren Edward II (Melissa) Bauer, Brenda (Jay) White, Eugene (Diane) Scott and Rhonda (Fred) Cassidy; her great grandchildren Samuel Bauer, Grant Bauer, Dallas White, Danielle White, Cory Scott, Anthony Scott, Sarah Scott, Page Kennedy, Chris 'CJ' Watson, Melissa Watson and Katie Cassidy In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Earnest P. Scott who passed away May 27, 1994, a sister Virginia Coleman and a great grandchild Cody Allen Scott. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at The Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Duncan Falls Cemetery. www.farusfh.com
