Betty Grace Mowery

Betty Grace Mowery, 80, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022 at the Morrison House while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Betty was born on August 28, 1941 in Coshocton.  She is the daughter of the late Lewis and Sarah (Elliott) Carpenter.

Betty is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack Mowery, who she married August 4, 1956; her daughters, Susan (Darrell) Conkle of Coshocton and Janet (Kenneth) Batteiger of Zanesville; her several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Darr.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her son, Jackie Lee Mowery; her infant daughter and infant son; her brother, Lewis Carpenter; and her sister, Helen Sells

Private services were held with Pamela Lashley officiating and she was laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery, Zanesville. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Mowery family.
