Betty Van Fossen

Betty Marie Van Fossen, 76 of Chandlersville, passed away at 3:50 am, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House. Betty was born June 29, 1937 in High Hill, OH the daughter of the late Wade and Rosa (Harper) Bickford; she retired in 2000 after 13 years with the Ballas Egg Company. She was an avid gardener who loved spending time on her family farm and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was known as "Grandma Betty" to lots of other kids. Betty is survived by her companion Herman Keel; her children Fred "Jr." (Lynnette) Van Fossen of Chandlersville, Janet (Marion) Milstead of Zanesville, Tam (Slim) Stewart of Roseville, Bonnie Van Fossen of Zanesville, and Jeff (Kayla)Van Fossen of Chandlersville and Ruth Stewart(Todd Drewniak) Philo; her 12 grandchildren; her 18 great- grandchildren; her brothers Charlie (Martha) Bickford, Rick (Cindy) Bickford and Roger (Dorothy) Bickford; her sisters Jean (Bob) Brewer and Wanda (John) Beisser and her special friends George and Dorothy Dailey. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Fred W. Van Fossen who passed away June 30, 1983, her brother Raymond Bickford and her sister Virginia Dennis. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am Saturday with Pastor Stephen Harrop officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery. www.farusfh.com
