Betty Jo Bernardi

Betty Jo Bernardi, 58 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Highland Oaks in McConnelsville with her loving family by her side.

Betty Jo was born on September 19, 1965, in Blue Rock. She is the daughter of the late Charles “Chub” J. Gohring and Mary M. Thompson. Betty Jo previously worked for Campbell’s Market in Duncan Falls. She loved cooking out for her family, and was a wonderful cook. Her family was her pride and joy. Betty Jo attended the Gaysport United Methodist Church.

Betty Jo is survived by her two daughters, Shantay Weaver and Cortney Vandermark; her grandchildren, Lynze (Cody Cavinee) Grant, Larisa Grant, Emily Vandermark, Joey Boyer and Lexi Kuhn; her one great-granddaughter, Iryis Rhaine; her friend, Mark Demster; her two sisters, Sharon K. Pack and Sandra Kennedy; her nephews, Isaac Kennedy and Charlie (Marie) Kennedy; her great niece and nephews, Paisley Kennedy, Charles Kennedy, and Owen Kennedy; as well as many friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty Jo is preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Everleigh Leach, who passed away on August 13, 2023.

A Celebration of Life for Betty Jo will be announced at a later date.
