Bessie Lorraine Anderson

Bessie Lorraine Anderson, 87 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully at her home on March 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Lorraine was born in Sugarcreek, WV on June 10, 1936.  She is the daughter of the late Otis and Gladys (McDonald) Kinney.  She worked many years as a Dietitian Supervisor for Wesley Glenn Nursing home and for First Community Village in Columbus.  She was very proud of being a foster mother.  She enjoyed scratch off tickets and going to Wheeling Island Dog Track, she enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and also playing scrabble, she was a previous member of the Moose Lodge in Zanesville, but most especially she loved her family.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Marilyn Glover, Sherry (Carlos) Cook, Sandy (Bill) Sappington, H. Rush (Yvonne) Little Bear, John (Debra) Anderson, and Jeremy (Kayla) Anderson; her grandchildren, Lula Myers, Art Glover, Kristi Graves, Joseph (Jennifer) Cook, Jonathan Cook, Samuel (Heather) Cook, Hayden Cook, Laura Lewis, Christine (Oscar) Jones, Sarah Anderson, Nichole Anderson, Christian Anderson, Holly Anderson, Herbert “Rusty” Anderson III, Shannon Anderson, Jackie Anderson, Karla Anderson, Caleb Anderson, Michelle (Jeff) McBride, John (Heather) Anderson Jr., Cody (Mirranda) Anderson, Abbigail Anderson and Kendall Anderson; several great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren; and her brother, Jay Kinney

In addition to her parents, Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Rush Anderson, whom she married August 15, 1953, and who passed away November 25, 1999; her infant daughter, Rose Marie Anderson; her grandson, Corey Anderson; her son-in-law, Richard Glover; and her brothers and sisters.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm on Thursday.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Williams Cemetery in Zanesville.
