Berlin J Mcquain

October 15, 1933 — November 30, 2014

Berlin J. McQuain passed away peacefully in his home in the loving presence of his family on Sunday, November 30th, 2014; he was 81 years old.  Berlin was born in Sutton, West Virginia on October 15th, 1933 to Earl and Cosby McQuain.  Berlin was a true fisherman and outdoorsman; he was also an avid bowler and golfer.  He acquired many trophies in both sports throughout his time in the lanes and on the links.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Ward McQuain and Cosby May (Russell) McQuain,  his first wife, Joan Louis McQuain, his second wife, Ruth Ann McQuain, as well as his sisters, Mavadell (Mava) Fern Barnett and Nancy Bennette; and his brothers, Denver McQuain, Aldon McQuain, Aaron McQuain,  Homer McQuain, and Oscar (Cam) McQuain.

Berlin is survived by his daughter, Marie Ellen Casey and her husband, David Roger Casey, and his Step-son, Brian Kessner.  He also leaves to cherish his memory his grandsons, Jeremy David Casey and Eric Berlin Casey, and his great-grandchildren, Quentin David Casey, Cole Mykel Casey, Carver Vaughn Casey, and Addison Marie Warren.

The Family would like to thank the staff of Genesis Hospice for the kindness they have shown during their times of difficulty.  Ellen would also like to thank her husband, her sons, and her grandchildren, as well as Harold and Barb McQuain for their love, help, and patience.

Calling hours for Berlin will be held at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Thursday, December 4th from 11am to 1pm, with services starting promptly at 1pm.  Pastor Keith Taylor will be officiating, and burial will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery following services.
