Arlo W. Barclay, 86, of Duncan Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on April 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Zanesville on September 15, 1938, Arlo was the son of the late Robert K. and Mary L. (Untied) Barclay. He was a member of Brighton Presbyterian Church in Zanesville. Arlo dedicated over 40 years of his career as a mechanic and garage manager with Putnam Transfer, and following retirement, he continued serving the community as a delivery driver for Northside Pharmacy.
He enjoyed vacationing with his family at Fort Walton Beach and deep sea fishing. Most of all, he loved attending his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan Kay (Sheppard) Barclay, whom he married on November 30, 1958; three children, Traci (Jeff) McClellan, Shari Tucker (Clayton) O’Neill, and Keith (Kristin Cassady) Barclay; six grandchildren, Luke (Caroline) McClellan, Alison (Jeff) Murrey, Sara (John Dooley) Swingle, Clint (Brandy Carsey) McElfresh, Dylan (Elizabeth) Tucker, and Lauren Barclay; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Arlo was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Barclay.

Visitations for Arlo will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Brighton Presbyterian Church, 711 Lexington Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM following visitations at the church. Rev. Mark Katrick will officiate the service.
