Albert W. "Walt" Rutter

Albert W. “Walt” Rutter, 74 of Roseville and formerly of Philo, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024 at 4:43 pm.

Walt was born in Zanesville on July 17, 1949.  He is the son of the late Roy and Dora (Samson) Rutter.  He worked for the Franklin Local School District for twenty-eight years as a bus driver and custodian.

Walt is survived by his two sons, Albert W. Rutter Jr. and Chris (Tasha) Rutter; his grandchildren, Christopher Rutter, Ethan Rutter, Mark Rutter, Haley (Alex) Wood, Megan (Devan) Phillis; his siblings, Joy Peterson, Virginia Mae (Richard) Dix, Larry (Holly) Rutter, and Roger Rutter; his special friend, Mark, as well as his friends at Carl’s garage.

In addition to his parents, Walt is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rutter, who passed away February 16, 1998; a brother, Sonny Rutter.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Richard Dix and Pastor Peggy Watts.  Walt will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
