Virginia M. Thomas

Virginia M. Thomas, 81 of Philo passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her residence. 

Virginia was born on May 14, 1936.  She is the daughter of the late George and Voneda Thomas.  She previously worked for Carskadden Optical in Zanesville for over 30 years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Sarah Shepherd of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Miller, John Shepherd, Lori (Joe) Shepherd; Tommy Shepherd, Hank Shepherd and Bruce Shepherd; her two brothers Charles Thomas and Robert Thomas and three sisters Margaret Grubaugh, Mary McPeck and Thelma Ross.

In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Allison and her siblings, George, James, Frank, Betty, Edith and Ruth.

Friends and family are welcome to attend visitations for Virginia from noon to 2 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.
