Steve Dwight Mitchell

Steve D. Mitchell passed away on Tuesday, December 18 while in the care of Genesis Hospital, he was 64 years old. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on February 20, 1954 to Betty (Allison) and the late Gerald Mitchell. Steve enjoyed working on vehicles and driving truck. He could often be found hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jean (Coen) Mitchell, his children, Misty (Billy) Rosser, Stephanie (Tim) Parrill, Jason Mitchell, Justin (Kelsie) Mitchell, and Slade (Latrisha) Simmons. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Brandon, Anthony, Dillon, Seth, Lane, Lacey, Dylan, Kai, Maddilyn, Erica, Kooper, Kilian, Kasen, and Wrenlee. He also leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Betty Allison Mitchell Murphy, three sisters, Sally (Chuck) Hammers, Susan (Lonnie) Kennedy, and Sherry (Bill) Rogers, his step-brother, Brian (Jennifer) Mitchell, and step-sister, Lisa (Tim) Brokaw, his mother-in-law, Mary Coen, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.; his uncle John (Nancy) Allison, his aunt, Irene Kuntz, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded by his father, his sisters, Sheila and Sandra, and his step-father, Kenneth Murphy.
Friends may attend calling hours for Steve at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5 to 8PM. Services will follow the next day at 11AM, with Steve Smith and Mike & Melody Foster officiating services. Burial will follow at Duncan Falls Cemetery.
